This look almost entirely locally sourced from some of my favorite North Loop boutiques. The coat, an absolute vision. Sometimes a good investment piece goes a long way. Like some designer riding boots I splurged on a few years back. I’m still strutting them around. A quick trip to the cobbler to spruce up the leather, soles, and seams and I’m set for another season.

Would like to mention a few notable developments…
Treefort Magazine just published their 3rd issue and I’m mad impressed. My friend Sami Huerta helps with a lot of things there including styling, content creation, & design. Couldn’t be more proud of her work and theirs. Congrats on a beautiful issue! Of particular interest is the article on getting your skin glowing through the winter by local DIY beauty expert & close friend of mine, Brooke Rymer. You can also get your fill of recipes, home organic beauty tips, and travel guides from her blog.
And two of my other good friends have launched a lifestyle, fashion, & beauty blog called Trouvaille, which means discovering the lovely in French. I’ve been working on learning French for longer than I care to admit but part of the reason is how poetic the language is. Such a beautiful one and representing a darling initiative. Steph and Britt are beautiful, quality people that I’m sure you’ll grow attached to quite quickly, just like I have. Britt & I actually traded lipsmackers in grade school in Wisconsin and Steph and I have the most unbelievably intricate web of mutual friends it was as if we were meant to be friends for life.
Really the point of all of this is just to make it seem like I have friends. Haha! Nah I’m lucky to know some really cool people doing some really cool things. Following their dreams and passions and I find that inspiring and worth telling my little corner of the world about. Hope you found some fun new inspo sources through it!
