Mixing & Matching

Designer collaborations are some of the best things out there. This Elie Tahari collection for Kohl’s makes high fashion accessible for all of us. The clothing was inspired by the beautiful city of NYC, which I of course am forever and always crushing on. It comes through in the graphic prints on some of the clothing as well as the city slicker, modern urban vibe throughout the collection. I was way impressed with the intelligence of this dress’ design. The lines and placement of black fabric makes the bodycon dress totally wearable for all body types. And as a lover of preppy classics, the tweed screamed to me from a mile away. I upped the feminine playfulness by adding a full floral skirt and a beaded peter pan collar. This is something I’d wear out for a date, to a fashion event, or quite honestly almost anywhere. Except maybe bowling or horse-riding. But wait how fun would this skirt look ridding side-saddle? K we’ll think about this. In the meantime, happy Friday and happy weekend beautifuls!

Quick sidebar, many thanks to Camille Albane for my new ‘do! From start to finish, my experience at the salon in Maple Grove was comfortable and relaxing. My stylist was so friendly, experienced, and talented. Fun to be back in a darker color for the fall/winter months.
