Jacquard Peplum

A lot of modern trends hail from sixties fashion. Jacquard and peplum are no exception. I love the subtle gold print interwoven with the ivory fabric. It’s a crisp, rich fabric and the peplum detail adds a touch of interest to the silhouette. This dress is from eShakti, a great online store that specializes in customizing clothing. I liked the idea of adding sleeves, and I gave measurements and preferences for fitting and length. When the dress came in the mail, I was pumped to find that it fit absolutely perfectly, and I love the sleeves!

The above outfit is what I wore to an MSPFW event. Here are some of my favorite runway looks from the night:

The sequin dress is stunning. The placement of the bling is unique and shows great innovation. And the hand-dyed shift dress tips its hat to laid-back bohemian style. Marissa did a beautiful job!

Adrienne Yancy of ArielSimone is a highly ingenuitive designer. I love her creative silhouettes. The bright sorbet colors were playful and fresh. An impressive show!
