5 Trends for Fall

5 Fall Trends

As hard as it is to think about leaving boating, lazy mornings on the Adirondacks, and gorgeous greenery all around us… fall is just around the corner. All is not lost though because there are definitely some redeeming qualities to the change in seasons. With fall comes not only the gorgeous turning of leaves and apple pie but also a fresh batch of fashion trends. As a style blogger, it’s exciting to see new designs hit the runway and the racks. But some can find the whole shuffling of trends and styles intimidating. So I’ve pulled out 5 of the biggest trends for fall to get you started on your shopping this season.

Boxy Tops: Instead of the traditional fitted tee or button-down shirt, mix it up with a modern-cut boxy top. This silhouette looks great with tapered black pants or a dark denim skinny jean.
Raspberry Hues: This variation on purple is one of the most popular colors for Fall. It pairs well with neutrals but can also be worn with an army green or navy blue for a chic look.
Turtlenecks: The turtleneck is having a major comeback. Keep it now by styling it with another big trend like a jogger pant or edgy pumps.
Chambray: A classic that’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Try a new shade, silhouette, or finish this year.
Culottes: The mind-boggling trend that has swept the fashion scene. A wide-leg cropped pant that has everyone pondering, how do I rock this? Two ideas right off the bat: tuck a white chiffon shirt into the waist or wear with a carmel-toned turtleneck.

Each of these 5 trends is available at the Galleria Edina. The boxy top and turtleneck dress are J. McLaughlin. The chambray shirt is Joie. The raspberry hue skirt is bcbg. And the culottes are Kate Spade. You can get all of these trends in one place, how great is that? Score!

What about you: Which of these trends would you be most likely to try?

  1. Hmm. I will not agree with you about turtlenecks. These on looks terrible. But the hues skirts are really on top. It is a big boom in my city. I see this kind of skirts probably everyday.
I think we should also find a manufacturer of these and include in our supply.
