Verdant Emerald

If you’re following me on Snapchat (username: “LindseyHerzog”!), you saw a sneak peek of this outfit last night and a glimpse of the weather which made things a little bit awkward at the Carlton College campus while shooting this look. Students were trotting about back and forth and the wind was blowing like a low grade tornado and here I am in a flouncy skirt. Enough said?! Thankfully we had a few moments of calm to nab the rest of these photos 🙂
Remember… stay tuned for a big website re-launch including an entire week of giveaways to celebrate! #yeagirl.

That Blogger Life with the Venue 8

Disclosure: Compensation was provided by Intel via
Mode Media. The opinions expressed herein are those of the author and are not
indicative of the opinions or positions of Intel.

As a fashion blogger,
time is precious. Collaborations are often underway, email correspondence is
non-stop, and social media is always moving. We are posting on Twitter,
Facebook, Pinterest, now Snapchat… (ps if you’re not following along yet, my
username is @lindseyherzog!) With time being absolute gold, technological
innovations that allow for shortcuts are total lifesavers.

This is where the
Intel powered Dell Venue 8 series 7000 comes in. I honestly do not know where I’d be
without it. Let me just give you a few examples of my every day life with this
puppy. The Intel® RealSense™Snapshot Depth Camera is super high quality, way
more than any other tablet devices I’ve tried out, specifically with the depth
of field. That cool blurry background in professional cameras is possible with
this tablet. So wherever I am with my Venue, I can snap a quick shot of
whatever’s going on around me, or you know, maybe even snap a quick selfie
haha. Also, the fact that it is so lightweight and thin means it literally fits
in every single one of my handbags and I can hardly tell it’s there. I love
that! Another aspect I can’t get over about it… the Dell Gallery makes it crazy
easy to view all my photos from every device and every storage channel in one
place. They’re automatically updated and aggregated so when I need to use one
for social media, it’s right at my fingertips. The editing capacity is off… the…
charts! Usually I have to bounce around between like 4 different photo-editing
apps, but not with the Venue. I can selectively adjust brightness, saturation,
and contrast in a photo and even refocus. So yea. Can you tell I basically want
to marry this product? Haha.
Intel makes new and exciting technologies possible, like the Intel® RealSense™ snapshot camera technology in my Dell Venue 8 tablet.

Midas Touch

I just found out that Beyonce has this dress too. Hey Bey, let’s twin sometime, k girl? The last time I wore this was on a distant Monday, in a land far far away called NYC. Like NYC, this dress is one of my favorites and was fun to slip back into it after a long absence. Every girl should have a few dresses or purses or shoes that make them feel like a million bucks. The reason why couldn’t have been demonstrated better than in the post of one of my friends’ on Instagram the other day. Sasha of Moiology is a new mom, of a darling little girl. She’s absolutely loving motherhood, but has been transparent about the change involved in the journey. She shared a simple picture looking down at her floral skirt with a pair of exquisite Manolos peeking out. She mentioned being grateful to have church on Sundays to get dressed up for. It’s not like a pair of shoes, even Manolos, can lead to world peace or save a life or help us win the nobel prize but somehow little moments like Sasha’s can be just the right touch of “everything’s going to be ok” to get us through to Tuesday.

The website re-design launch of Ruby Girl is coming up soon, so stay tuned!
