Pearl Girl

I usually like to get these posts up and out by 5am, meaning they’re finished the night before at least. But last night I had some pretty bad back pains that interfered with me finishing up this post. I seriously have the lowest pain tolerance ever so it’s quite possible that if anyone else were in my body experiencing it, they could have carried on just fine without being flat on their back with a heating pad haha. My parents and now husband have always said I’ve a flair for the dramatic… The back pains have been on and off since Sunday and it’s made me develop so much respect for anyone who deals with chronic pain or physical pain of any kind really. I do not give them enough credit. As a therapist, I see people who struggle with it and have learned to adapt. Here’s hoping mine is just a little sprain or pinched something or other that will pass soon. There’s nothing like sickness or physical discomfort to make you thankful for health, which I’ve pretty much taken for granted thus far. So here’s to health. And a steady dose of bubble baths and William & Kate on Netflix to soothe us when we’re out of it.

Blaze a Trail

You know what’s even better than Punch for lunch on a Saturday? Punch for lunch on a Saturday with your blogger bud. Chels and I are big fans of the pizza but we both opted for salads this time because they are equally as good as the pizza. Odd but true. We exchanged outfit inspiration for the day; hers was Roz from Fraser and mine was Olivia Palermo. We also exchanged our most recent embarrassing stories but I won’t get into that here.

Just stumbled on this little gem of a boutique, Goodnight Macaroon. The hallmark is Parisian style with a modern flair. Considering all of the Audrey Hepburn flicks I’ve been watching lately, it’s no wonder I can’t stop shopping here…

Speaking of Europe, this post by Julia of Gal Meets Glam features 3 of the most darling, feminine designer-studded looks shot in stunning locations in beautiful Florence, Italy. Talk about a pin-fest. No seriously, I think I’ve pinned each of these photos on my style inspiration board…

Winter hair is the worst. So when I came across this shampoo & conditioner via Acure, I thought, why not try it. And let me tell you, I’m glad I did. My hair is suddenly confused and thinks it’s spring. All lush and smooth and stuff. You get the point. Plus um $10 each.

Winter Hike

When January’s cloudy days try to squeeze the sunshine from our smiles, I always know I can count on a walk at Silverwood park for a little rejuvenation. Even without a fresh coat of snow, the place still has a magic about it. There’s just something about enjoying the 3D art all around us. You know, that thing called nature. I kind of like it a lot. For my walk in the park with Patrick I went way casual. It was a Sunday afternoon after all. And since it was 40 degrees instead of the usual 15, I thought I’d celebrate by changing out me pom beanie for a baseball hat.
