Something was in the water at Loring Park the other day. And I’m not just talking about the swimming ducks. My friend Katie and I witnessed a local citizen looking something like the bird lady in Home Alone as she fed the wild park animals bread and comfortably chilled whilst two pigeons perched on her forearm. WHAT. Then… as Katie and I started taking photos away from the feeding frenzy, the ducks quite literally stampeded my photoshoot! And shortly afterwards, an emboldened squirrel picked up my iPhone in its mouth and began to trot away. No. Joke. …!!
If you didn’t know already… I’m an avid Daniel Wellington fan. They’re classic and high quality. I have 3… I know you hear a lot of gifting advice this time of year but honestly they would make the perfect gift for either a guy or a girl. And hey, coolest thing, you can get 15% off a watch using the coupon code “rubygirlblog”. They have free worldwide shipping so that’s pretty great too.
It was fun exploring the Holidazzle Christmas Markets at Loring Park. These mini pancakes were INCREDIBLE. Could not recommend more highly. If you stop by you also simply must pop into the German tent with a bazillion kinds of ornaments. See if you can spot the smaller-than-an-altoid sized tiny little sheep with a shepherd, unless someone’s already snatched ’em up. I tried taking a pic to show you but I got the stank eye from a worker there so I politely raised my white flag. Nonetheless, cutest little guys ever.
We love the guys in our lives but sometimes they can be the hardest to shop for. Maybe because they tend to be less inclined than their female counterparts to make a detailed 2-page list with direct links, photos, & a specific order of preference. (Or wait was that just me every year since 8th grade?). Either way, this one is for the brothers, boyfriends, fiancés, dads, sons, nephews, & guy friends in our lives. For the modern gentleman, and the guy’s guy. Because who says you can’t be both? Seriously use this guide to make your life easier. Prices range from $25-250. I’ve done the shopping for you!
Alright I’m going to break down holiday dressing for you nice and easy. Step 1- Find a little cocktail dress that makes you feel like a princess. Check. Step 2- Add a pair of classic heels. Check. Step 3- Wear a statement necklace. Check! This one a one-of-a-kind-er that I found at Uncommon Goods (a place I’d highly recommend for gift-shopping too PS). And that’s all folks! What did I tell ya, nice and easy.
Holiday events take a lot of forms and so does dressing for them! This outfit would be perfect for running about town shopping for gifts or a festive date ice skating with your main squeeze. The cape is really warm and of course comfortable, plus I love the pattern of it. And J.Mclaughlin never makes anything half-way, so it’s of course of highest quality, too. I traded in my around-the-house leggings for a ponte pant with zipped hems for a more street chic look. Starbucks in hand, now all I need is a few bags full of gifts for the sweets in my life and I’ll be set 🙂
A beautiful piece of jewelry stuns for not just one lifetime, but for generations. Tacori jewelry is heirloom-worthy and will be treasures for your family forever. I would probably faint if I found this topaz ring in my stocking. The line has incredible top shelf pieces as well as absolutely gorgeous more affordable options (with prices as low as $190). So if you’re helping your dad pick out something for your mom, be sure to send him to Arthur’s Jewelers this weekend to shop this one-of-a-kind collection.
Arthur’s Jewelers is hosting a Tacori Event this Friday 12/4 (10-8pm) and Saturday 12/5 (10-9pm). The complete Tacori collection of engagement rings and fashion jewelry will be on site, as well as the talented designer! I can’t wait to meet the designer and ask about sources of inspiration. Tacori pieces are absolutely stunning. There are really great prizes and giveaways involved including Tacori Earrings, Apple Watches, and up to a $600 giftcard with purchases. So yea… I would say this is a good time to go jewelry shopping for you or anyone on your Christmas list.
I’ll be stopping by on Saturday, playing dress-up with the pieces… ahh! I can’t wait to try them all on. Snapchat me to let me know you’re coming so I know to look for you, username “lindseyherzog”!
