Tartan for Certain

Happy Halloween! I’m dressed as a hiker/adventurer.
… ok you got me. This isn’t a costume. But if you do want some last-minute ideas, check out <<this post I put together last year with 4 fun & stylish halloween costumes>> I will be throwing together a little costume for tonight’s halloween party but as usual it will be rather last-minute. It’s going to be me and Patrick rustling through the thrift store racks like it’s our job and probably running about 45 minutes late to the shin-dig. It’s practically a tradition, and always rather invigorating. I’m actually looking forward to it. Also looking forward to smuggling some Bottlecaps and Milky Way bars and pretending for a few calories that I’m still 7-years-old.

Tuesday Shoesday

Coco Chanel said, “A woman with good shoes is never ugly”.

Marilyn Monroe said, “Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world”.

A random graphic designer said, “Life is short. Buy the shoes” … and then made the quote into a cute print with gold writing and likely a background of pink peonies, pinned it on Pinterest at which point it was repinned somewhere circa 32092 times by everyone and their brother including me so. All that to say… aren’t these Gucci shoes amazing? I’ve been eyeing them up and in collaboration with Lyst, I created my own wishlyst right here. You can shop each pair of shoes directly from the Lyst. I would definitely recommend giving Lyst a try. It’s easy to shop and they have pulled clothing, shoes, and accessories from all over the web to shop right on their site. It’s way more convenient than trying to track them all down yourself. As far as I’m concerned, the less clicks needed, the better!

And with that I say, Happy Tuesday shoes day!

Locals, hope to see you tonight at Apricot Lane in West End (St. Louis Park) for Ladies Night Out! 20% off, sips/sweets & lots of chit-chat! 6-8pm!

Eiffel for you

In my other life, I grew up in Paris, with the Louvre as my second home and walks in Il de La Cite as my usual route. So naturally sometimes this Parisian style so close to my heart finds its way into my outfits in this life. In this dress, both figuratively with the mod shape of the dress and coat and literally with the eiffel tower graphic. I wore this dress to White Bear Lake with Chelsea and Jessica to a Young Royals tea at the Avalon Tea Room to celebrate my birthday. Chelsea and I did some strolling afterwards and found a cute shop from which I bought a French cookbook, less for the French cookbook part and mostly for the fact that it was totally adorable and pink. And this wraps up my decidedly French post.
