Bright Florals

I can’t believe I haven’t worn this dress on Ruby Girl yet. It’s definitely a frequent flier in my wardrobe. But I definitely remember why I haven’t posted about it yet now that I’m thinking about it. It’s because every time I go to style it for a post, I remember that I already had posted a navy & hot pink outfit earlier in the week. Because navy & hot pink are obviously a match made in color combo heaven. Well this is this particular week’s navy & hot pink look. And this behind me is the house I grew up in. I went to my hometown for a girls’ weekend with some of my closest friends. Let’s just say we got a work-out from all of our laughing. True friends don’t come around every day, so when you find a good one, treat them right and hang on tight.

Put the Lime with the Polka Dots

… and drink it all up. Did any of you guys catch the reference? To that tropical-ish vintage song? My earliest memory with that song is in my math class in 6th grade. My spunky teacher played it every day for a week. I think he was ready for vacation. Although I distinctly remember thinking the lyrics were, “Put the lime in the Coke, you nut”. Later, when googling lyrics became a thing, many a revelation occurred including the fact that my original perception of the lyrics to Put the Lime in the Coconut were just a touch off.

Purple Gingham

Happy almost 4th of July! Oh my goodness this day cannot go fast enough haha I am itching to get to the lake so so badly. Iy yiy yiyy… (props for understanding what “iy yiyy yiyy” means. I thought about it for a good 30 seconds and decided that was the most phonetic way to spell out what I was saying to myself). You guys. Have the most wonderful weekend ever. Go America!!
