Bidding Au Revoir to Fall

It’s Thanksgiving Eve! Such a wonderful time of the year. An event set aside for being grateful for the blessings in our lives. I believe thankfulness is essential to a full life. Thankfulness leads to contentment, which leads to joy! If we can manage to cultivate a thankful heart, I think we will go a long way towards really enjoying life and getting the most out of it. For me, what I am most grateful for is the gift of salvation through Jesus. Not only from death, but from a drab life. No matter what storms I may weather, I know I can have joy and peace in Christ. I mean, wow! What a huge deal. The God who created the world decided we were worth it, that each individual heart and soul was worth it, to give us an opportunity to live eternally and live richly on this earth. Honestly it fills up my whole being with bliss just thinking about this. Next on my things to be thankful for list is relationships. My husband, family, friends, verve youth group students, clients, and hey… YOU! People are just so cool. What a delight to be able to get to know someone and develop a relationship, to really care and be cared for. There’s just so much to be thankful for! May you have the most wonderful of days with family and friends!

Dear Santa…

I’m quite sure that a part of my heart has gone before me to London and is living pleasantly in a white row town home. Afternoon tea at the Goring Hotel, followed by walks to Greenwich Park, and of course, a little shopping in Knightsbridge at Harrods. Since Christmas is one of the most magical times of the year, I have put together my dreamiest of wish lists from this iconic store.

Navy & Green

These photos were taken by my friend, Rachel, of Rachel Marie Photographie. If you have a minute, I’m sure you’ll enjoy a visit to her Facebook page. Be prepared to be whisked away by whimsical capturings of darling relationships. Rachel has a lovely way of catching moments; her photography feels so authentic and natural, yet elevated. And now she’s branching into the world of fashion photography! I love it. Locals, keep this little lady in mind for upcoming projects!

This is the Christmas list for our elegant men. Elegance does not simply equal expensive, so this guide has gifts from $20-$800, for every price range. I would absolutely melt if I saw Patrick in that sharp New & Lingwood velvet blazer. Speaking of New & Lingwood, this London menswear clothing company is one to put on your radar. They are everything classy and sophisticated. It’s like Ralph Lauren/Tommy Hilfiger on steroids, but yet, very much its own thing. I love their shirts, shoes, and oh just everything really! Seriously, go visit and prepare to be wow-ed. (There’s even a silk deep purple dressing gown!) Would love to know, which of these items is your fav? Which would you love to see your man own?

Beachy Keen

Looking at these makes me almost cry a little bit out of sheer desire to be back on this beach. Oh my word this vacation was absolute divinity. Admittedly so, it’s easy to feel like a million bucks when all you’ve got planned is a day at the beach sipping smoothies. But it’s Monday. And though Monday gets a bad rap, I argue that it brings with it a few positives aside from its more notorious blotches. Namely… a nice fresh start. A clean slate to launch into an excellent week. Also, a bit of momentum. We’re all rested up from the weekend, so there could be a little more zing in our step. For some of us, that zing doesn’t kick into gear til 3-7 cups of coffee/tea, but hey, who’s judging?! So beach vaca, I loved you, but I’m bout ready to take this Minneapolis Monday by storm!
