It’s amazing all that happens in a year. 2012 was great and 2013 will be even greater, in it’s own way. Blessed to have your support of Ruby Girl blog. Thanks for stickin around! Let me share a little something I have on my heart for the coming year. I prettied it up with chevron and hot pinkness.

3 Holiday Party Looks

This is the first of three dresses that I have styled here for any Holiday party. The pattern of the lace in this dress is one of the most exquisite I have seen. And the burgundy hue, oh so 2012. I like the fit & flare silhouette as well. And as if this thing couldn’t get any more feminine, the neckline pushes it over the top.
For the urban sophisticate. This look hails to current trends, while keeping things clean and classy. The sheer paneling on the dress is on-trend, and I especially like it with the polka dots. Me-oh-my I feel I’ve seen that somewhere recently… 😉

Now for the prepsters… this ensemble has the whole package. Tartan, pearls, and tassels! I love playing with texture and the glitter dress adds that glam edge that elevates this look to royally preppy. I have totally been bitten by the Tartan bug. Lately I’m double-taking anything Tartan. And I enjoy saying the word as often as possible. Tartan.

Misses Dressy has so many beautiful dresses. Their prom dresses are like breathtaking. I literally gasped multiple times. Take a gander! Make it your destination for holiday party shenanigans, work banquets, weddings, etc…

Winter Twirls

We got all dressed up for Christmas card photos, even Mint! In her little Burberry-esque collar & leash c/o SwankyPet. Now Christmas card photos I’m quite fond of. It’s like annual engagement photos. Only, they always involve snow. Which is a shame. Not for having snow involved period, but missing out on seasonal variety. So next year we’ll take them in June. Scratch that, March. When we will be going on a Caribbean vacation… eeeek! So excited.

PS-This was the day before a monster blizzard. Monster, I tell you. Which turned into the only day I voluntarily stepped foot in our spare pick up truck, an old beater of a thing. But it sure proved its worth with our newly beloved 4-wheel drive. Patrick and I ended up baking cookies and enjoying a lovely little snowed-in day. Plus lots of shoveling. Not so glamorous. But always inducing of snowball fights. Which I easily let go of the former for.
