When I first got my engagement ring a few years ago, I could not stop staring at it. It was like having a new puppy. Anytime I was bored, I wasn’t really bored because I could just catch a few glances at it. It’s not just the sparkle that gets me though. I look at it and feel undeserving and blessed. To be loved by my guy, the one who always keeps me guessing. Usually diamonds have a story that goes with them. A gift for the blood, sweat, and tears that go into graduation from high school/college. Maybe one of those sweet 16 gifts. Or a 5-year anniversary or a 50-year anniversary. Maybe some diamonds for just being beautiful you. Those stories capture one of life’s sweetest offerings… relationships, duh! Friendships, family, love, love, love. So good!

I recently came across Anjolee jewelry and tend to think them quite awesome. They have simple, quality pieces, with loads of customization options. Their website really walks you through the whole process. Their jewelry is in stores across the nation, but the cool thing about heading straight to their website means no middle man, which obvi means much lower cost. Just something to keep in mind when you’re diamond shopping. Feel free to copy & paste the link to this post and email it to your boyfriend.

Skyline View

Thanks Petco for letting me borrow your parking lot and more importantly your awesome view of the Minneapple. Lucky Petco. Where we took little Mint today for her first vet appointment. We found out she is all of 3 pounds today! And makes every employee melt as much as we do. Which I’m doing right now, melting! You wouldn’t believe how much longer it is taking to write blog posts these days. With little Mint on my lap who drives me bonkers cause I just want to cuddle up and snuggle her to pieces. So distracting.

Soft Tones

Every once in a while, I set aside the leather, denim, and studs in exchange for beads, polka dots, and pinks. I tell you, my taste is very complicated. Difficult to categorize, which I’m very ok with. In fact, I very much like being uncategorizable.

So I’m going to tell you something cool. This necklace was made by a survivor of human trafficking. iSanctuary gives a safe, fair, and beautiful opportunity for reintegration for those who once only knew enslavement and the darkest mistreatment. They are an amazing company with a beautiful cause. And they have gorgeous jewelry and accessories! Check it out and let me know what you think.

Go Fish Giveaway

I am positively delighted to partner with Go Fish for this lovely giveaway. What makes this giveaway so darn awesome is not just the prize, but the meaning behind this refreshingly purpose-driven company. So cool. The brilliant and empowering minds behind Go Fish saw a need for a platform for the beautiful work of clothing, jewelry, and accessory artisans struggling with poverty. Go Fish saw the beauty in the original handmade pieces, recognized their quality, and built a company showcasing them. Go Fish gives these artisans the dignity and honor they deserve, buying their products at the value that the artisans are asking for. So beautiful. I love it.
