So I hosted a sweet little meet up for local fashion bloggers at one of my favorite delis in the city. I had a lot of fun getting to know Chelsea
, and Cassidy
. Charming, fun ladies!
Cassidy and I popped into Primp Boutique
afterwards, which was just a block away. Primp gets me. They just get me. It combines the trends and quality you would get with a boutique experience and the prices you find at larger retail stores like Forever 21 and H&M. We both eyed up some really great finds.
I’m simply delighted to share that Mode Republic
, an online fashion community, has given me the honor of being their Cover Model for the week. They also interviewed me, you can check that out right here

Leather Pants! As soon as you get into them you either feel like a model or a Grease cast member. Personally, I think both sound equally awesome.
Question for ya. When you go to a gas station and decide to snatch up a little treat, what do you go for first? I grew up in a family that went on lots of road trips and developed what is now known as a “Higgins Stop” by those lucky enough to know us. This is how it works… Enter gas station. Grab whatever goodies your heart desires. Make sure to get it on the counter before dad swipes the credit card. Return to car and continue road trip, content for at least a few more hours. As for me… I always b-lined it for the Combos. To this day, I hold them in the highest regard. And believe them to be grossly underrated. Just polished off a bag a few minutes ago.
You know what’s almost as good as Combos? Free clothes.
You could get yo-self $50 to maurices through this lil giveaway.

Have you ever been to a clothing swap? I’m turning into a bit of a pro. A clothing swap pro. It’s so fun! An urban loft party room stacked with clothes and fun trendy ladies. Many of whom run fashion blogs. It was a very pleasant afternoon, getting to know some of these lovelies a bit more. And I came home with a suitcase full of “new” clothes. My favorite take homes are 1) a lace blazer, 2) a mauve/blush scalloped purse, and 3) a red winter coat. You’ll see them all styled here, soon!
Thank you to Erin for making this happen, it was a blast!
I’m excited to see some of these ladies and meet others at an event I’m hosting for MN Fashion Bloggers at the end of January. Woohoo! Be sure to check it out if you are fashion blogging in the area.
And hey, just a couple more days left to enter the $100 Karen Kane giveaway,
make sure get in on it if you like!
